Atlanta comedian Mark Kendall pitches an ad for Craig's Bronze Bron Barn, an opportunity to own statuary in the likeness of LeBron James AND to recontextualize Confederate monuments! A win-win!
Kendall has spent his quarantine making comedy videos about race. A longtime ensemble member at Dad's Garage Theatre Company, he previously wrote and performed his one-man show “The Magic Negro and Other Blackity Blackness as told by an African American Man who also happens to be Black” at the Alliance Theatre.

They should legit melt these down and make monuments to people who deserve to be remembered. Otherwise someone is going to get their hands on them.

We are big Mark Kendall fans at our house. Glad to see him getting some wider attention!
The sad thing about his MARTA video is that there literally were anti-MARTA bumper stickers in Cobb County that said "Take MARTA to Cobb and rob!" So yes, his video is very funny, but yes, people are indeed that horrible/stupid.

I have watched this three times and the part where, by context, he should say "But wait--" and actually says "But white--" just slays me dead.

I especially liked the phone number.
Meanwhile, in the U.K, this may be relevant, although they weren't able to melt down the original statue to make the new one.
